Saturday, March 13th, 2010

C. Jacqueline Wood with Brad Wicklund and her wad of cash.

Wow!  Our inaugural Soup Stock event here in Ann Arbor was a great success.  First off, we would like to congratulate C. Jacqueline Wood for her winning project proposal titled REFUSE.  Thank you so much to everyone who attended the event.  Thank you to Hathaway’s Hideaway for proving such an amazing service and space to the Ann Arbor community.  A special thanks to Lisa Gottlieb for proving a warm potful of her Vegetarian Chili and to Friday Mornings @ SELMA for lending us their bowls, spoons, and napkins.  Another shoutout goes to Slow Food Huron Valley for supporting the event.  And last, but not least, to all of you who loaned us your slow cookers including Laura Meisler, Anita LeBlanc, Barb Marcotte, and Chrisstina Hamilton.

With everyone’s generous support we were able to award Jacqueline $149 towards her project.  We will be setting up a contributor account for her on this blog so you can follow the progress of her project.  Stay tuned for the April call for proposals!
